Funded assessment and treatment

If you have mental health problems or functional disabilities because of a work-related accident or other workplace stress or incident, you may qualify for psychology and psychotherapy coverage through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).

Our psychologists treat a variety of work-related conditions, such as:

Traumatic Mental Stress (15-03-02)
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in First Responders and Other Designated Workers (15-03-13)
Chronic Mental Stress (15-03-14)

We also treat disabilities impairments resulting from work-related accidents, including:

Psychotraumatic Disability (15-04-02)
Chronic Pain Disability (15-04-03)

The WSIB Community Mental Health Program is designed to give people access to psychological assessment and timely counselling treatment. This program is a collaboration between the WSIB and the Ontario Psychological Association.

You qualify for the WSIB Community Mental Health Program if you are covered by WSIB and you:

have a registered WSIB claim or recurrence
have experienced a psychological reaction after a work-related physical injury, or
have experienced a significant psychological response to a workplace incident or cumulative incidents, such as traumatic mental stress, chronic mental stress, or first responder post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Our psychologists are registered providers with the WSIB Community Mental Health Program.
