Registered Psychotherapist (Adults) - Burlington & Online
Kimberlee Friesen is a registered psychotherapist providing psychotherapy to adults at our Burlington office and online. Kim conducts psychotherapy for treatment of anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder. She typically works from an Internal Family Systems approach and employs Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) methods for treatment of trauma.
Kim completed a Masters of Education degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto in 2020. As part of her program, she completed clinical internship training at Dr. Barbera and Associates, where she provided therapy for a range of conditions.
Kim previously completed a Double Honours major in Psychology and Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies at the University of Waterloo in 2017. As part of her program, she completed a clinical internship placement at KW Counselling Services, where she provided individual and couples therapy for a range of conditions.
Kim has also completed an Addiction Care Worker Diploma at McMaster University in 2012. She is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
