Social Worker, Psychotherapist (Teens & Adults) - St. Catharines & Online
Jackie is a registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, licensed by the OCSWSSW. She provides psychotherapy to teens and adults.
Jackie is dedicated to challenging her clients to lean into discomfort and equipping them with the necessary skills to create meaningful change in their lives. No two individuals are alike. Jackie strives to tailor your work together to address the challenges that are unique to you. Her training and experiences enable her to pull from several different theoretical frameworks to tailor a model that suits you, your needs, and personality. She believes in meeting you where you are truly at and give you the space you need to safely unpack your experiences.
Jackie’s primary areas of practice pertain to anxiety, depression, parenting support, social skills training, behavioural issues, and stress management.
In addition to working with teens and young adults, Jackie provides strategies and support to parents and families who are looking to learn ways to support their child’s mental health needs and behaviours. She uses a variety of therapy approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, emotion coaching, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Jackie has a Master of Social Work from the Western University in London, Ontario and a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Ontario.
