Psychologist, Supervised Practice (Adults) - Burlington
Dr. Areeba Adnan is a psychologist in supervised practice providing psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment to adults and seniors at our Burlington office. Dr. Adnan completed her Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology at York University in 2019. Her primary areas of practice pertain to neuropsychological assessment of acquired brain injury (e.g. tumours, stroke, traumatic brain injury), neurological conditions such as epilepsy, neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias), and mental health conditions. Additionally, she provides cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and emotion focused therapy (EFT) to adults and seniors with various problems, including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and traumatic brain injury.
Since 2012, Dr. Adnan has completed training and clinical experience in Toronto at Baycrest Geriatric Health Care System (Neuropsychology & Memory Intervention), Sunnybrook Neuropsychological Consultation Service (Neuropsychology), Toronto Western Hospital (Epilepsy and Movement Disorders), and York University Psychology Clinic (Treatment). She has also completed training at the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver (Neuropsychology, Treatment, Group Intervention), Vancouver General Hospital (Epilepsy Clinic), and BC Psychosis Program (Neuropsychology).
