Ms. Ringstead is a registered psychotherapist who provides psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, and parents. She has worked with children, families, and high-risk youth for the last 12 years within various clinical, community, and educational settings.
Ms. Ringstead’s primary areas of practice pertain to anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism and Asperger’s, parenting support, social skills training, school concerns, behavioural issues, and stress management.
In addition to working with children and youth, Ms. Ringstead provides strategies and support to parents who want to learn ways to support their child’s mental health needs and behaviours. She uses a variety of therapy approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, emotion coaching, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Ms. Ringstead completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor Degree in Child and Youth Studies at Brock University.
