Jeffrey Sica has been in the field of mental health and addictions for the past 20 years.
A Registered Psychotherapist since 2015, Jeffrey has completed a Masters of Science in Psychology in 2019 focusing on researching experiences of youth in the Niagara region with the intention of improving services available and addressing gaps in existing supports. In addition to working at Brookside Psychologists, Mr. Sica is a Program Manager at Quest Community Health Center overseeing primary health care and interdisciplinary teams and previously was a Director of Youth and Family Services at Community Addiction Services of Niagara (CASON). He also previously worked at the Niagara Health System’s New Port Center and as a case manager at the Brain Injury Community Re-entry in St. Catharines.
In therapeutic delivery, Jeffrey has led clinical teams in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and provides evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, as well as others. He has completed the Non-Profit Leadership Development certification program through Goodman School of Business & Brock University in 2018, and currently provides clinical supervision for Qualifying Registered Psychotherapists and Masters students as well as teaching workshops in DBT, CPT and other evidence-based therapies.
