Registered Psychotherapist, Social Worker (Kids, Teens, Adults, Families, Couples) - St. Catharines
Tina Hardman is both a Registered Psychotherapist and a registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, licensed by both the CRPO and the OCSWSSW. She is also a Certified Play Therapist. She provides psychotherapy to kids, teens, adults, couples, and families at our St. Catharines office and online.
Tina incorporates a variety of techniques in therapy to meet the needs of each client. She incorporates directive play therapy (sand tray therapy) with children, as well as emotion focused therapy (EFT), Gottman techniques with couples, dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for trauma, and narrative therapy.
Tina completed her Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Windsor in 2020. She completed her Masters of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology at Brock University in 2014 and 2012, respectively. Most recently, Tina completed her Play Therapy Certification through the Canadian Association of Play Therapy in 2021.
Prior to joining Brookside Psychologists in 2023, Tina worked as Clinical Services Manager and a Therapist at the Family Counselling Centre. She worked as a Clinical Mental Health Counsellor at the Canadian Mental Health Association and as a Social Worker at the Niagara Detention Centre. She previously worked as a Crisis/Mental Health Worker at the Distress Centre of Niagara and the Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST).
